Scrabble did not interest me when I was younger. It looked pretty lame when I was in grade school. Only nerds played it. Those were my thoughts...until the time when I was in college.
While my then girlfriend was at school, I would explore random online games on Yahoo! Solitaire was fun but too easy and soon I lost my interest. I liked Pool a lot because it tested my skills in geometry and I did that for a long time. Then Yahoo! Literati came. It was a word game similar to scrabble. I was constantly beaten by really good players there that I started getting hooked on finding ways to overcome being a loser. I started playing more frequently. Eventually went to play the real scrabble and then Words With Friends when tablet and smartphones came about.

For me, gender did not change my interests in life. In fact, it kept me pushing for more. In some ways, I wanted to prove that girls can trounce just about anyone but for the most part, that was just me. My 275-point-one-word bingo exhibits my Maya Fire's inability to stop pushing boundaries and constant strive for success (in word games and more!).
