"Sprinkles"

"After traveling over 6000 miles and arriving in Bristol for the first time in December, the national lockdown was initiated. It was hard living in a metal box for months, but I find solace in getting the melodies in my head down on a piece of paper. Over the past few months, I've been writing a bit of music apart on working on my academic work. Out of all the pieces, Sprinkles spoke out to me the most. It's a bit of an arpeggio that's a constant throughout the piece. It evokes mundanity but the piece is made whole with melodies from other elements - everything else harmonizes and comes together in many different ways than I had imagined - I like to think that this is what we encounter constantly."
 
For me, writing music has been more than a passion project. It is part speaking on perspectives and a part storytelling at the same time. I see no better way than conveying them sonically (and visually).
